Nail the Cross 2008 - UK  by admin on Mon Sep 22, 2008 1:20 pm

NAIL THE CROSS
A FESTIVAL OF MUSIC AND ART in NEW CROSS
Live Music and DJs at Six New Cross Venues + Art Quest

Saturday 27 September 2008, 3pm - 5am
Tickets: £15

Tickets available (walk in):
The Amersham Arms
The Lock Tavern
Pure Groove Records
Rough Trade East

Tickets will then be exchanged for wrist bands at the Hobgoblin pub on New Cross High Road from 12pm on the day of the festival.

Following the recent successes of Field Day and Stag & Dagger, party pied pipers Adventures in the Beetroot Field join forces with hot South London promoters and label No Pain in Pop, and acclaimed UK independent label Domino Records, to take the party South. Together they present Nail the Cross, a Saturday-into-Sunday morning extravaganza of live music, DJs and art, across six of the best music and art venues in the heart of South London September 2008.

Featuring established cool acts including Archie Bronson Outfit,
Clinic and These New Puritans, alongside a host of new talent on the cusp of big things - Micachu and the Shapes, Hatcham Social, Afrikan Boy, Jay Jay Pistolet, Ox.Eagle.Lion.Man, S.C.U.M, I Blame Coco, Your Twenties, Ipso Facto, Allan Pownall, thecocknbullkid and The xx - the live experience will be met with an equally white hot layer of DJ talent, including Herve, Skull Juice, Benga, Casper C, Long Blondes and more.

From 4pm, Nail the Cross will also host the Art Quest, featuring live art and performances by Scottee, Adham Farawamy (Wowow), Adam Latham and XX Teens.

This one-ticket-gives-access to all line-up also featuring art shows and performances, the Art Quest treasure hunt and film screenings, make this Autumn of the river - not to mention that fact that the celebrations extend to Domino Records 15th birthday party, which will be hosted at Goldsmiths Union.

Venues include The Amersham Arms, New Cross Inn, The Hobgoblin, The Goldsmiths Tavern, The Walpole Arms and Goldsmiths Union.
